200 pages into Hell Hollow.Love it.Kelly is very quickly becoming one ofmy top 10 authors.I have yet to read a book or short story that I could say I truly have not enjoyed.Everytime I pick up one of his books I say to myself why did you wait to start this?
Stayed up late and finished Hell Hollow.Great book.5 stars.Today I will start Star Island by Carl Hiaasen. One of my favorite writers.A good author for the summer season. After that one of the Bachmen books I still need to reread this year.Probably Roadwork.Or I might read the new Joe R. Lansdale book Edge of Dark Water.
I went to the library today to pick up the first four "Hitchhiker" books; haven't read them in a long time.
And in the "For Sale" section I found hardcover editions of "Song of Susannah" (already had it in softcover), and "The Dark Tower" (which I didn't have in any form yet. 50 cents! Can't beat that).
Sweet, did either happen to be a first edition? Alot of the newer ones are easy to find cheap then you find out they're a first and its just a bonus.
Still not sure on the whole "editions" thing... they both say "First Trade Edition" with the numbers "1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2" - I never know which number actually indicates the print. I know I read it here somewhere but it didn't sink in.
you want first firsts. the number line, it's the number ONE that you want, so in that case, you DO have first editions, first printings. cool. if it said 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2 it'd be a first edition, second printing
Yep, lowest number on the number line indicates first printings on newer books (from most publishers). I know the UK King books just have a single number instead of an entire number line.
Hi, new to the CD board. I am reading Floating Dragon. It started very difficult to follow, but has picked up. I'm very bad at names and there are a lot to keep straight at the start of this book.
