I have mentioned the video store Movie Madness on this site in the past.
Movie Madness is part video rental store and part motion picture museum. The reason I have mentioned it is because when a movie title appears that I have not heard of I can 99% of the time rent it at Movie Madness. They have about 85,000 videos for rental, not streaming mind you. They have that many VHS, DVD and Blu Ray movies available. I have been very fortunate to have this great business available to me over the last 25 years. I remember when it was located in an old house. I remember when they expanded by cutting a hole in the wall and placing a shipping container to connect the house to another building. What I remember most is that when I hear of some obscure movie and I want to see it I can.
The founder (Mike Clark) has run this both as a passion and a business since 1991. Well he is retiring soon. A local non-profit that also runs a classic theatre would like to keep the business alive. While I am not a big Kickstarter guy this is one I jumped on right away. They are trying to raise $250.000 to purchase and run the business model.

I certainly hope The folks at the Hollywood Theatre are able to pull this off.
