Michael McDowell - The Elementals

Especially for those on here who have read this....... After hearing lots of people recommending this book, I have decided to browse through the used market to see if I can land myself a copy of this much talked about book. I am noticing however, that the used market prices for this seem quite high. Is it because it is relatively rare? Is it that good that people aren't recycling? It doesn't appear it was ever published in hardcover either.

Also - thoughts on this book?

Valancourt recently re-published this one ( as well as many of his other works ) in trade paperback, an affordable alternative. It's one of his best, and well worth the 20 bucks or so.
