Norman Prentiss: Odd Adventures With Your Other Father

Many of you on this forum probably got the notification from CD but I thought it should be her for those who did not get the email.

Norman Prentiss is an author I have been introduced through Cemetery Dance. Although he has only published a few stories he has become one of my favorite authors.

His new novel is part of the Kindle Scout program where readers help determine which books get published. The first few pages are up to read.

Here is the email about it:
As a publishing experiment, Norman has submitted his new novel to the Kindle Scout program at Amazon. Through this program, readers help Kindle Press choose what to publish. Authors upload their covers and the first 5,000 words of their book. Readers nominate the books they like, and if their chosen book is selected, Amazon provides a free copy of the full eBook prior to publication! This entire process is FREE to the reader!
** Here is the link to Norman's new novel, ODD ADVENTURES WITH YOUR OTHER FATHER:

    https://kindlescout.amazon.com/p/31CCF08HMHST3

If you like the excerpt, please consider giving it a nomination or even sharing the link with others. Again, it costs readers nothing to participate.

Thanks so much to both of you (and to anybody else who checks out the book). This is an unusual novel, but I'm feel strongly that it's my best, and I'm fighting to get it the most attention I can! Really appreciate your support!

You've got a great theme running here that I've never seen pared-down so simply: "The world wasn't supernatural, but the human mind could be."

This was an excellent start. Nominated.

If Amazon doesn't buy this book, they're CRAZY. That excerpt is amazing and full of some wonderful ideas I've never seen stated so clearly.

Thanks, bugen. This is kinda how I see the world--but I sneak a bit of real (or, often, ambiguous) supernatural stuff into my stories!

I echo bugen's thanks to you for starting this thread--it definitely directed some traffic to the Kindle Scout page and got me some additional views/votes!

I see you got the link for the free copy, so I really hope you like the full story. This was a very personal book for me to write--Invisible Fences was more direct with autobiographical elements; Other Father goes more fantastical, yet still feels more "true" to me...
