Crap! Thanks, Mike, I was still riding the high of making that post (A lot more work went into those finding and manipulating those pics than you might think). Nothing like a crash landing!

    Congrats on the anniversary!

Well played my friend, but wrong. It won't be a Stephen King book, because, wait for it, Cemetery Dance is tired of mucking around with living authors. Who can blame them?? If you just publish dead authors, you don't have to worry about signature pages and who signed what and who will sign what, when. The dead don't sign! Unless, of course, you count V.C. Andrews! So my pick, not Stephen King, a dead guy!

PS: I know I'm right because April 7th is my Anniversary and I damn sure got that right! LOL!!!

Wow... If you are right or wrong that was one hell of a way to put out your official guess. I think you deserve a prize even if you are not right.

Well, I guess it's time to make it official...

Sometimes the world can make me crazy, and the imminent announcement on Monday has done nothing if not made me crazy. And when that happens, I need to find something crazier. So Friday afternoon, I sat down in my living room with every Monty Python film I own. 'Long towards evening, I came across this familiar scene:

It still makes no sense to me 30 years later, and that's when I had what I can only describe as a Guiness-fuelled epiphany! CD's announcement isn't supposed to make sense, at least not in a conventional way.

So I'm here to expose CD's teaser pic for the 07April announcement as a...

    10712835-herring-image-by-bartlomiej-stroinski-stockxchng.jpg

Actually, it's needs to be tinted a little.

    10712835-herring-image-by-bartlomiej-stroinski-stockxchng.jpg

    That's better.

The truth of the matter is, the flaming teaser pic is a red herring when it comes to the subject mattter of the book. All it represents is that, with Rich's slick maneuverings and CD's awesome production values, CD IS ON FI-YER! So while Brian has everybody on this forum attempting to cut down the mightiest tree in the forest with said herring

    BJFkwsn!.JPG

(which should make him, at least, an honorary Knight)

he's been plotting Monday's announcement which will be:

    EKKI-EKKI-EKKI-PITANG-ZOOM-BOING!!!

Translation: Later this year, CD will publish the first-ever edition of Phil & Sundance, an 80-page unfinished novella that Rich acquired last year--confirmed by Brian (though with no plans for publication at the time.)

    http://forum.cemeterydance.com/showt...d-King-novella

But that was last year. Did King agree to go back and finish it? Will it be published unfinished with explanatory notes by King? That I can't say. But I'm anxious to find out!

So the Knight who is plotting to no longer say "Ni!" has been exposed as a very naughty boy; very naughty indeed!

    PBNot.JPG

But please, continue to guess away with very well-reasoned arguements, even thought the prize has just been won. It's okay, everybody is invited to the announcement party!

Somebody has to be in charge of the sheep dip!

    -------------------------

I drink therefore I am! Officially speaking.

This is an unofficial guess because I already threw my hat in the ring, but I am starting to think it's The Stand, the emphasis on big makes me think it likely, and also it being the right year for an anniversary edition. The other possibility that springs to mind is Blaze because of all the fire, but it doesn't seem like as big of an announcement, both literally the size of the book or the significance of the release.

Nice, Tom. I'd go broke for that one!

My official guess, I know it has already been guessed but I have a more detailed reason is Firestarter, 35th anniversary Super Deluxe Anniversary edition much like IT. The reason, as others have noted there is fire in the clue, but if you look at the actual fire in the clue and look at the graphics for Firestarter - specifically the Deluxe DVD (rear cover) you will see the exact same fire graphics. It is not in a frame with date, but it is otherwise exactly the same, some coloring, tone to a tee. There may be a version of the DVD where there is a picture frame graphic but I have not seen it. I really wish it was The Stand, I would possibly dig deep for a letterred version (telling the wife I admit "it was over $100.). But I see no way this is not Firestarter. final answer.

Now even when it could be Secretary of Dreams 3, I remember the first volume had some big teases but not the second one. The last time we had such a big tease it was for IT 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION.

BUT, at the same time, we also had a major tease before Blockade Billy was anounced, and this last book WAS PUBLISHED before Scribner released a larger printing. So it can be reduced to three things: An anniversary edition (this narrows the options to a couple of books, since I can't imagine a 16th anniversary edition of a book ), a S/L of a book that didn't have one before, or a completely new book.

I'd think it's Carrie, since it had an April release, 40th anniversary, but...nope. Somehow I don't see a publisher that has a relationship with PS Publishing doing a S/L of a book they're releasing on the same year.

Okay...enough rambling. This is my official guess:

Needful Things S/L. The image of the announcement made me remember the sign at the store and the fire, well...those who read the book know Leland's plans.

I really, really hope you are wrong with this!!! Not because I hate that book - quite the opposite! I would just HAVE TO buy a lettered edition of Needful Things and I cannot afford to do that right now...

    "This is my official guess"
    "The Stand" by Stephen King
    - Originally published in September 1978, it's still technically can be 35 year Anniversary Edition, if re-published BEFORE September 2014 (according to Brian, shipment is scheduled for late summer 2014)
    - New S.K. book is not something unusual for CD, but to be "the most important projects in a very long time" the existing level of expectation must be already set and very high, as it's the case with The Stand

Whatever the project is - congratulations and thanks to CD for consistently high quality of production, exception customer service and keeping the community alive and entertained

My official guess is something involving Bad Little Kid in a collection or stand alone.
