Organize the collections by editor perhaps? Or maybe title?

My Cemetery Dance, Dark Regions and Bad Moon Titles are kept together. All other Limiteds are sorted by size. I have four bookcases devoted to my limiteds.
        1.CD ARC's and unsigned
        2.CD Signed
3.All DRP and BMB Titles and random Publisher paperbacks.
4.Random Publisher Hardcovers and some more paperbacks

I have my my S/L editions separated from my trade HC and paperbacks. They are actually in two different rooms of the house. My trade HC and paperbacks are only sorted by "Read" and "Not Read". My S/L editions are separated first by publisher, then grouped by author and size. I especially like it sorted by publisher when it comes to Thunderstorm books as the all the books in the each individual line match in size and design so they look impressive when shelved together. I also have my lettered editions separated from the rest. I like this set-up so far, but I am running into a room issues and might need a second bookcase soon pfor the S/L editions.

The only problem I've run into that makes me want to reorganize is when a series of books is produced by different publishers. Take Keene's Levi Stoltzfus series: The Rutting Season (though not an actual part of the Levi series, it is the prequel to the first book, or the first Levi book is the sequel to this book; whatever way you want to look at it) is from Bloodletting, Ghost Walk is from Delirium, A Gathering of Crows is from Thunderstorm (Maelstrom Series I), Is There a Demon In You is from Camelot, and finally Last of the Albatwitches is from Thunderstorm (Maelstrom Series IV). If I stay with publisher then this series is separated, if the I keep the series together, then I separate the two Maelstrom books from their sets. I currently have them grouped together, but it kind of bugs me.

I understand what you mean, as I typically like to keep my small press titles organized by author and series (depending on sizes, of course, not going to have a small book surrounded by large ones just to keep them together by author). Decided early on I was keeping my Maelstrom titles together, by Maelstrom series, and what number each book is in the series. So I have book 3 from the first Maelstrom series, followed by books 1-3 of each of the next Maelstrom series. Still want to get the first 2 Keene books from the initial Maelstrom series, but they are still not at an affordable price for me when I actually have money for books
