On another note thanks for pointing out that Laird Barron title. I had forgot all about that press and book. Any idea when that is supposed to publish?

    This one? https://badhandbooks.com/preorders/n...dcover-edition

According to that blurb, it's supposed to ship soon. I read about half of the book (paperback edition) before ordering this, and it was excellent!
I decided to wait for the limited edition before reading the rest, although it's been long enough now that I'll just read the whole thing again.

I will never, EVER buy from Haffner again, and I encourage others to do the same. I ordered the John the Balladeer set when it was first released, and waited, and waited, and waited...I finally reached out to the publisher/owner, and was told that it was "arriving today!". I waited a few days, and..no book. (Obviously I was never given a shipping confirmation or tracking number.) I reached out AGAIN, and he replied that he was "just fucking with me", and didn't like being nagged about when books will arrive. (I already waited weeks to ask, because he said in his newsletter that if you bother him about when your book will ship, he'd hold it back out of spite.) I replied AGAIN asking about my books, and he told me that he had just found my box, which had "slipped under the seat of his truck" weeks ago when he drove to the Post Office. No apology, no "My bad", nothing. And the book STILL took a few more weeks to arrive. Guy is just a total prick, and it really explains why none of the booksellers that I reached out to carry his books.

        Yikes! That is crazy.

I don't understand why people have to be tools. Just provide a matter of fact update to the consumer. If it's running one year behind, provide that information and move on. The consumer then can decide what to do with that information.

Yep. That is the one. With the above from Danny have you had any experience, good or bad, with this publisher?

I'm not at all part of the Old Guard here but I've been around fir a couple years and I love the information and sharing of literature. Was friends with Ron a few years back on one of the social media sites before leaving that behind. Can't imagine this place at full tilt

Hi, Chuggers! Thanks for chiming in. Ron is the man for sure. He is a wealth of information and has a great memory for authors as well.

All good experiences, no issues at all. I've ordered and received a good selection of books from Bad Hand Books, and everything has been as expected.

I signed up for the hardcopy of End Times - an interesting project, in case you haven't heard about it: https://badhandbooks.com/preorders/t...l-subscription

Thank you for the reply. The newspaper idea sounds fun. I'm assuming the $35 charge is monthly and recurring?

I was under the impression that it was a one-time charge. I'm waiting for the collection, myself. The newspaper format doesn't interest me.

Used to check and read and probably comment daily, but now I check in maybe monthly and see what's up.

LOL. Absolutely. The role is yours to have.

I wore this movie out when I was younger. Loved it.
