It was a mixed bag. Lots of Steampunk. I'm a fantasy guy myself and I would say it wasn't over represented. HAHAHHA!!! My first one as well.

Family friendly is key I think in most of these. I have never been to anything like this. There recently was a small comic-con (which is gaining in popularity here apparently) here in Windsor, ON.

Looks like I will be heading to FanExpo in Toronto in August though. Biggest one in Canada apparently. They incorporate everything, from comics, sci-fi, horror. Quite an impressive history of top notch guests too. CD should set up shop there!

    Went to Marscon this weekend

Went to Marscon, a smallish? Sci-fi Conference held in Williamsburg VA, this weekend. It was a nice family friendly event with good entertainment, workshops and a fairly well stocked dealer room. I didn’t buy any books! I just didn’t see anything I needed. That’ll happen after forty years of book collecting, according to my wife anyway. The kids and families were really cut and a friendly atmosphere was evident throughout all the programs I attended. I’ll probably go back next year.
