Have you ever had certain thoughts about something that seem to transcend time and go beyond reality?
I know, that sounds weird.
The funny thing is, whenever I happen to come across Da Vinci's "The Last Supper", what strikes me is not the personnel depicted but the room itself. Perhaps it was just a dream from a long time ago, but whenever I see it, it's like I have a memory of being in that very room, looking out from the middle window at the surrounding countryside. No memory of the Last Supper or Jesus or anything, but it feels like I was in that room with one or two other people. I don't know what I was doing or why I was there.
It's very odd because it's something I don't think about for years at a time, but it's just one of those things that seems lodged in my brain and every now and then if I happen to see the picture it comes rushing back in much the same way that real memories do.
Perhaps I'm just giving in to flights of fantasy, but I find it intriguing.
