The General's Wife was published in 1982 by Donald M. Grant. The book begins with 'The Story's Story' in which Mr. Straub explains that this novella was originally intended to be in the novel Floating Dragon. He also states that he looks upon Stephen King's It, Floating Dragon and The Talisman a trilogy. I purchased the book off eBay long ago but if I remember correctly it was not a for sale book, rather it was given out to the 1st 1200 attendees at a convention of some sort. It is a beautiful book and a fantastic story. My wife does not read horror and I suggested she read it. She read it in one sitting and loved it.
