Think you've got it spot on. Not sure if it relates to any of the stories. Should perhaps scan the titles to see if it throws up any clues!

Is that an evil little sailor marionette in the Fowler endpapers? Really, what is that freaky thing?

Few more new items.
First up, the gorgeous looking new anthology from PS celebrating Christopher Fowler's 25 years in writing

It's two seperate books in one, so you turn the book the other way round when you've finished the first part.
The end papers are very nice.

Guest repliedI've nothing at all against British writers - even though you guys shipped us off to the far flung colonies all those years agoOriginally posted by Greenelk View PostGhost Train is a great read. I've got an old paperback of it on my shelves, and will be getting my collectors edition from MHB. The cover on the new version is fantastic.
As for Paul Kane, when you do get round to reading him, I'm sure you'll enjoy. His earlier work was very British (this is not a negative statement, for anyone thinking otherwise!) and I've always loved his imagery.
I'll look forward to reading some Kane (Law I've read before, and quite liked)

Analecta is cool, and, yep, I've been guilty of buying an item or two from my mate Steve on the odd and infrequent occasion. I've also got the Stephen Law remarqued Night Train on order too, which looks fairly sweet going by the initial sketches .. As regards reading Paul Kane .... hmmm ... nope, and to be honest ... I'd never really heard of him before seeing it on Steve's site - it had me at "remarque" so everything else suddenly became secondary

A web site that previously I knew nothing about, and if I purchased everything I wanted from it, probably a site that would lead me being chucked out of the house!! I blame you totally.
Have you read any Paul Kane before?

You might be interested to know that I'm getting a hold of a remarqued copy of Shadow Writer, along with several pieces of the original art for the book by David Magitis
