This is my Stephen King collection. I've been collecting for about a year. My collection consists of 41 books. Some are first editions, some are not, some are in shrinkwrap, and one is in a slipcase. None are signed or lettered.
I have 45 books, just bought some more!!Last edited by fmancino; 07-20-2011, 12:38 AM.

That's the one you should read first, as it's King's first published novel.
Then move on to Salem's Lot and The Shining.Etcetera.
It's great to see how King developed as a writer.

1. Carrie-IT (minus any book in the DT series); DT referneces are mostly coincidental except for the turle in IT.
2. DT 1-7
3. Major DT tie-in books and others; watch out for books that are sequels.
Regardless of the order you read them, you are in for a real treat!"I'm a vegan. "

The Talisman, Black House.
IT, Insomnia, Dreamcatcher.
Desperation, The Regulators--not a sequel, the same stories, with same characters acting differently. Fascinating read together.
The Stand, The Eyes of the Dragon.--not a sequel, but both concern Randall Flagg. Possibly Storm of the Century in this string.
Gerald's Game, Delores Claiborne--not a sequel, but they were originally conceived of as one story.
And of course DT1-7.
Hope this helps."I'm a vegan. "

Did you like Insomnia or Under the Dome better?"I'm a vegan. "

The Crimson King using Ed Deepneau is the villian in the DT series and the child Patrick Danville is important to the resolution of the DT series. And Insomnia is a sequel to IT simply because it takes place in Derry, Maine."I'm a vegan. "
