Squire I love your new quote (from A Christmas Story). Among my favorite lines. Just curious. Have you read "In God We Trust, all Others Pay Cash"?

No. Never really thought to.

Yeah, everybody remembers "You'll shoot your eye out!", but this is the best line in the movie. That happens a lot. People remember "Show me the money!" from Jerry Maguire, but that's not the bestline in the movie. I can think of 2 or 3 others I thought were better.

Here's a set of paperbacks I got it the mail today. They've been on my TBR list for a few years, I just never had copies of them.

First, The Worm Ouroboros by Er Eddison. My favorite fantasy book. I have a copy of this already, but I wanted to get the entire 1978 Del Rey pbk set.

Eddison paled around with Tolkien and CS Lewis; Tolkien thought Eddison's works philosophically unattractive, Eddison thought Tolkien's philosophies "soft".

There's also a 1968 pbk set that has better art that I'd also like to get.

Trade HCs I came home with after my weekly trip to B&N.

Railsea by China Mieville. Ndever read a young adult book by Mieville. He's quite a challenge for adult audiences, so I'm really interested to read this one. He's......out there, politically; but his books are fantastic reads.

And the endgame it depicts is one of the most exciting I've read in a long time! You can't tell from the photo, but there's a second engine coming up befind the one in the center.

Like the paperbacks Squire! Haven't read any ER Eddison yet, but I'll be on the lookout for something of his to check out.

What I won off ebay was books 2 and 3 of the trilogy. Here's the second book I got, I haven't unwrapped it yet.

The reason I haven't openned it yet is because it's not the book I won. What I bought was The Beast House, #2 in the trilogy. What is in the bubblewrap is this.

I gotta admit, I would love to have this one (especially for the $40 I spent), but at the same time, I don't need my name black-marked all over ebay. I've contacted the seller and will try to work out a deal to get this one too.
