Picked up a few books at Chapters today. I really love the way the Jules Verne collection looks, nice endpapers, bookmark ribbon, gold leaf, leather binding (probably fake), and for a reasonable price too.

Very nice! The Verne book looks fantastic.

I especially want to get that Clarke book. I haven't read anything of his, and know I am missing out. He is one my Dad's favourites, and from what I hear, he should be at least given a try.

Got something new in the mail today, my first Easton Press book, The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe:





Though it wasn't damaged (other than a minor scuff at the top of some of the pages) I was not impressed with the packaging. A cardboard box with no protective wrapping, other than shrink wrap, and part of the book exposed.

Still waiting on my copy of The Dark Man, I was hoping it would arrive this week, but if not maybe early next.

Yeah it looks great, and the leather is so soft on this edition. I wish it was illustrated though. I look forward to getting more EP books I love the binding, some illustrated and signature editions would be a nice addition to the collection at some point.

Nice EP! Thought about that one many times. I've only had issues with 2 of EP's books and they sent me replacements. One time, I was delivered a package without the contents (it was marked on the package). I don't know what happened, but EP replaced it.

Well I killed all my photos when I moved them to a new folder on Photobucket. I finally got my copy of The Dark Man, and I have to say it was worth the wait. Absolutely beautiful book. A day or so later my grab bag arrived, mostly new stuff, but I got a double of Indian Summer.
