Hodder started publishing Herbert with 'The Magic Cottage', and they re-released his earlier books as well. These reprintings are quite hard to find, especially in good condition. Still haven't seen 'Lair' for sale anywhere.

I would definitely love to see photos of the Centipede Press edition of The Fog. Especially if there is interior artwork.

No that is not right. John Carpenter's The Fog has no relation to James Herbert's The Fog. They are completely different stories.

John Carpenter's The Fog is about undead mariners that take revenge on a small fishing town with the aid of a mysterious fog that sweeps the town.

James Herbert's The Fog is about a deadly fog that is released from underground after an earthquake. The Fog drives people insane when they come into contact with it, turning them into psychotic killers.
    Both are awesome though!

The Fog is an absolutely fantastic book and I am surprised it hasn't been turned into a movie yet, as I am sure with the right Director on board, this would make an excellent horror film. My hometown (Salisbury) features as a location in The Fog, as does other nearby towns that I am extremely familiar with such as Andover and Bournemouth. This makes reading the book quite eerie when recognizable locations are mentioned and described.

Did some re-organising today, so took a few pics.
James Herbert - 'The Dark', 1st editions, 1st printing and 4th printing with variant d/j
'Lair', 1st editions, 1st printing and 3rd printing with variant d/j
'The City', 1st edition. Graphic novel, sequel to 'Domain'.
Clive Barker - 'The Books of Blood', true first editions, 1st printings. Cover art was changed after 1st printing.

Waiting on some more Brodart covers for the Herbert books - the dustjackets are in perfect condition, but the protectors need replacing.
