Yeah, exactly. A good read but some things just bothered me a bit too much to make it a great one.

They were all great reads. I only had a small issue with Homestead as I found it to be a bit too predictable...

Too bad when things get too predictable - it's got to be very difficult as a write to not be overly predictable in most stories.
