I hope you wore a hat and weren't looking up with your mouth open when you took that dead squirrel down!

Two new books and a dead squirrel.
The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North (aka Kate Griffin aka Catherine Webb). The postcard contains a hand written "quote" from the titular character, which in my case is a line from the song Whip It by Devo.
Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer.
And finally the lovely dead squirrel which I pulled from under the tiles on my parents roof with a snake catcher. Oh, and those little white dots falling from the squirrel....Those are maggots.
