Most people here work it as well. It's not a statutory holiday so people don't get paid for it but government employees, civic employees and some private business like lawyers who don't want to work don't. I however work for an "emergency service" and even have to work Christmas. Fortunately for me though I took vacation this christmas and someone else had to do it and ended up having my rotating weekend off fall on easter weekend so I am off Saturday through tuesday. back on wednesday. Quite happy and I still get double time and a half for today.
