Stephen King DR. SLEEP, Cemetery Dance Gift Edition...

DOCTOR SLEEP, slipcased oversized Gift Edition, 1 / 1750 copies, with six full color paintings by Vincent Chong. Cemetery Dance, publisher (2013). Illustrated and printed in two colors with two-color hot foil stamping, a fine binding, and illustrated endpapers featuring an original drawing by Glenn Chadbourne. Sold out almost immediately. This copy was bought new by me, read (very carefully) once, and shelved...so Fine/Fine in Fine slipcase, essentially as-new from non-smoking home.

The last updated value for this book on the Stephen King Collector site is June 2019 and is $250 to $300. I suspect it hasn’t risen much in the last 18 months, so let’s say this copy at low end of $250 with free well-packaged shipping. U.S. shipping only. Would like to stay in that ballpark, but always willing to field DM offers...worst I can say is No. Pictures available upon request, but it looks exactly like the other 1749 copies. Note: This copy is not remarqued.

Okay, I agree -- who wants to pay retail, even if it's on the low end?

Discounted to $200 shipped via USPS Media Mail.

I would be all over this but I think my wife is still annoyed I bought 3 books the end of last month

I of course have no desire to inspire marital discord, but suppose, just suppose, I wrap it in Macy's gift-wrapping so she'll think it's for her...tell her it's her present for next Christmas, and watch her forget all about it by then.

It's more the credit card transactions. It's good she does that. I have no will power without something making sure I don't buy too much. All the Stephen King books I missed before I even heard of CD don't help.

The real regret comes when you have been here long enough to remember the titles you had the opportunity to buy and passed on. At the time I was sure I did not need the signed limited 25th anniversary edition of It, the artist edition would be fine. Yes, I am an idiot!

Even the Artist/Gift edition of IT has reached astounding aftermarket value lately. Glad I at least have that, as I'd never choose to afford either now.

Thanks. With shelf space at critical mass and the Gift Edition of NIGHT SHIFT looming, something had to go. Hurt a bit, but never did really care for that novel, so it wasn’t too bad.

If I had seen this earlier, I'd have been very, very tempted to buy Dr Sleep from you Ron. I haven't spent much time lately at this forum. Cap

Hope you find your way to a copy someday. I didn't really care for the story, but the production values and art were fantastic.

I enjoyed the story. Not a classic but a good story. It does not stand up to The Shining so the 'sequel' tag may raise peoples expectations.
