I hope that it will be Silence as I would love an AGE to go with the one that I purchased for Red Dragon. I will also be excited as I passed on the limited of Silence that SubPress did a while back. The production for the SubPress Silence just didn't grab me. Just my personal opinion, but, something tells me that the while the print run for Suntup's version of silence will be much higher than the SubPress print run, the overall book itself will be nicer.

As much as I love Silence of the Lambs the Subterranean Press edition held no appeal for me. This one excites me even though I have not seen it yet. Unless it is the first dog from Suntup I am in on this one!

So based on todays video, the good new is that tomorrows announcement appears to be Silence of the Lambs and the better news is that there will not be an Interview with the Vampire in February.

I'm glad someone else feels that way. I really don't connect with Anne Rice's writing. When people were guessing that one of the Feb releases was Interview, I said it would be the first Suntup that I felt "meh" about. I'd probably even *gasp* sell it to stay on the train. I'm very happy that's not the case.

Many years ago I had several friends who loved her books. I tried several of her books. I even tried one of her softcore porn stories written under the Roquelaure pseudonym. I could not finish any of them. Her writing style is simply unreadable for me.

I really liked Interview with the Vampire, but her writing got weirder as the sequels progressed, and got to the point where I just found them unreadable. I have the CD edition of Interview on order (since 1/30/17) and will read it again once it shows up.

To be fair to Rice, I only tried to read one of her books--The Witching Hour--and by the fourth page of her description of a goddamned tree, I gently closed the book and cursed her name forever. I'm an unforgiving curmudgeon. So it's entirely possible that I was being unfair. But her writing is tiresome.

I'm in the same boat, I liked Interview with a Vampire a lot. As time has passed i've found her more interesting to read about, than to read.....

I think I tried to read Interview with the Vampire three times and failed every time. Something in her writing style just irritates me to the point that I can't continue.

The AE was pricier than I expected but this is a story I really love and do not own in any fashion.

AE of SotL reservation placed. I have an inscribed (to me) 1st trade HC of it, so no need enter the lottery for the numbered, but needed a AE companion to my AE of RED DRAGON (which I also have a signed 1st trade of).

Plus, like many of Paul’s bundles, I actually prefer the aesthetic and design of the AE more then the Numbered, even if for all practical purposes it’s less desirable by just about every measure. So that odd preference works in my favor when these new announcements hit.
