It's something we'd like to be able to do, but is highly unlikely we'd ever be able to do all of the back issues. First off we'd have to reissue contracts for all of them. Then in most cases there aren't actually digital content files for a lot of this stuff as our old designer didn't keep the design files and the really old stuff was done in formats that can't even be used anymore. Also a lot of the authors don't even have digital files for their stuff either. So it'd involve a lot of scanning. We'd really love to do some back issues, I think it will mostly depend on how these ones do for us.

I could easily live with getting electronic editions of all the back issues of CD. I'm sure I'm not the only person who'd like to be able to read the CD archives. Of course, ideally, they would be complete, but I'm somewhat a completist.
What are the chances of this happening?

Can't wait till CD starts doing electronic magazine subscriptions. With the cost of postage ever on the increase such a subscription model will be a Godsend for us international subscribers. Is there a date in mind?Last edited by Lou Sytsma; 02-27-2013, 03:02 PM.

Just a handful. Some of these back issues had a few things which we where not able to obtain the digital rights for. In most cases those right's belonged to someone else already. I believe the contracts for future issues of the magazine all include digital rights in them.Originally posted by mahduk View PostOK. I have the print edition of Issue #61. It has part 1 of the Douglas Clegg novella "The Innocents at the Museum of Antiquities" which I've noticed is absent from the electronic edition. Why is that? Are there stories or articles that will be absent from the electronic editions of other issues as well?

It's been a long time coming now. I believe we started working on the contracts over a year ago, and the design work has been going on for 4 or 5 months.Originally posted by TJCams View PostThis is just simply fantastic news!!!! Thanks for doing this Dan - big time!
