Relic is the first of 10 novels in a sequence. The Gideon' Sword and Gideon's Corpse are the first two novels of a new sequence, based on characters in the first sequence. From what I understand. never read any of them.

Brad, so are they all part of a series? If they are I hope Relic is the first.

I have read all of their cowritten books, most of Preston's solo work, and the most recent two of Child and I haven't found one I didn't like.

Ah, ok, very understandable. I have to be selective as well, or at least try to be, lol. Haven't read P&C myself either, but looking forward to checking them out. Will probably pass on more from them though until I know I like their work, at least until I have gotten a couple other books ordered

I haven't read it, though I might in the future. After a Year in the CDCC, I realize that I have to be more selective about what I purchase. My disappointment comes not from the poor quality of the books (which I can't voice an opinion on never havin read anything by Preston or CHild), but from the fact that two major upcoming productions are of authors I have chosen not read. I don't buy books for resale and, at this time, I don't want to get involved in a lengthy series that I will already be several books behind in. If I decide to get into P&C, it'll be in paper back.

    That's all.

I know it's going to be a beatuiful book. I'm happy for P&C's fans.

With the next title being planned from the series, will we be able to match numbers?
    Yep, absolutely!

Have you read Relic before and disliked it? Or just not your kind of book? I'm going to wait until I read Gideon's Sword before considering buying the next in that series. I'm waiting for The Twelve to be announced, which will hopefully happen before Reliquary is announced as that is what I would like to have more than these other ones
