I've got mine some days ago but I've just registered to the forum. What's about the CD guys/girls signing the calendar front page ?

Saving, becuase you'd probably still buy a trade edition and normally the discount covers them too!!! And what if that purchase you normally wouldn't make turns out to be one of your new favorite authors? Worse comes to worse you sell the Garton book and make your money back.Originally posted by frik51 View PostOk..ok....I'm listening.
Still, not to be contrary, but as I said, I'm rather picky as far as my limiteds are concerned. Meaning, I only collect limiteds from a select circle of authors: King, Simmons, McCammon, Howard, Martin and maybe a few more. So, suppose I'm offered a discount for a book I normally wouldn't have bought. Now, because of the discount, I go ahead and do buy it. Am I saving or losing money here?

I only have one version of it, but it has the added chapter included in this new version, as well as some artwork, though the art in this new version is far superior to what is in the version I have. I was tempted to purchase this one, but decided I'd rather use that $80 on other books down the line

I passed on it to. Really nice, but I have so many versions of Dracula, I just couldn't see getting it.

Was on the fence about ordering Dracula, but ultimately decided to pass on it

And it looks like we're never going to be able to offer Dracula to the general public -- we've sold all of our copies!

Guest repliedCool, have saved US$20 already and the 2nd CDCC hasn't even officially started as yet - Lovely looking edition of DraculaOriginally posted by Brian Freeman View PostFor those of you who already signed-up... you should have received an "Early Bird" special today that'll save you $20 off a book from another publisher that we'll be offering to the general mailing list tomorrow... assuming we have copies left to sell!

Yep! We're doing the shirts and art prints a little differently this year. Last year, the one complaint we got was from people who didn't NEED or WANT the shirt or the print. To them, it seemed like a burden to get those items. So this year, we're giving every member the choice to *select* the t-shirt, the print, the calendar, etc, when the time comes for those items to be made. (We are also spreading the FREE STUFF out throughout the year, which was recommended by a few collectors to make it feel more like a club.)Originally posted by Dave1442397 View PostI hope we get to pick our T-Shirt size
Don't worry, we'll make sure the members know when it's time to select your shirt size, etc, so you don't miss out! If you join, you absolutely have the shirt, art print, calendar, etc, coming to you and we don't want you to miss them!

Point taken, King was the only author you mentioned who I've seen a Cd volume from. So, unless CD habitually puts out books by one of your authors, I suppose you wouldn't be saving money. I'm still pretty eclectic with my signed/limiteds. Though I've decided that I'd like to collect Ronald Kelly's works.Originally posted by frik51 View PostOk..ok....I'm listening.

Ok..ok....I'm listening.Originally posted by srboone View PostThe discounts range anywhere from 10-25% off of a new s/l; you'll also receive discounts through out the year that other customers won't get. Over the course of a year, you'll get your money back.
Come on, Siep...

Guest repliedAbsolutely Dan, I joined up last year (and this year as well, as soon as the email hit my inbox) and couldn't even begin to hazard a guess as to how much I saved during the 12 months. The advance notification, too, were an excellent feature - if not for these I wouldn't have stood a snowballs chance in hell of getting hold of Limited & Lettered Editions of IT (mainly because of the time difference)

There was one discount a few weeks ago that was a HUGE discount, it blew away the one they offered to the mailing list.
