Thank for that head's up Marmaduke Grigsby! I was hoping that might be the case. I ordered my copy the instant it was announced and was hoping that it might be one of the earlier copies shipped. Am dying to read this book! I happened to notice on Camelot's site that they also received their copies which surprised me a bit. Not sure how it normally works, but I've always assumed that the direct CD individual orders would ship before distributor orders (perhaps I'm incorrect). Anyway, now that I know that a shipping notice may not have been sent, I will make sure to start checking my mailbox at home (don't always do it on a daily basis as it is mostly junk mail anyway )

Here's a free Halloween treat from Robert McCammon!
A Halloween Treat from Robert McCammon: "Night Ride"
It's a free, new Matthew Corbett story! Available to read on the website or to download in AZW3 (Kindle), MOBI, EPUB (NOOK), and PDF formats!

We're getting far afield from Cardinal Black now, but this is a convenient place to post this.
A new Robert McCammon short story has been posted on his site. "DST, INC." is a story he wrote to read at this past Saturday's Noir at the Bar event in Birmingham, AL.
You can read the story on the site, or download it in several formats, and you can also listen to an audio recording of McCammon reading it at the Noir at the Bar event.

The Lettered Edition is with our binder and casemaker, but his shop was closed for six weeks due to COVID-19, so even though he is open again now, he is behind schedule. The good news is, we have received our finished approval copy and the rest of the books and cases will be done in August! Here are a few photos we took real quick, but they don't really show the true beauty of this edition (or, obviously, how SOFT the leather is!)

It looks spectacular!
The look also closely matches the Sub Press lettered editions of the Corbett series. Lettered Editions are almost always outside of my self-imposed price limit, but I sooooo wish I had bit the bullet and ordered one of these! Those who did will surely be happy with them!

Any news on Usher's Passing would be good, too. And would like to see Mystery Walk be next on the McCammon schedule, along with The King of Shadows.Last edited by Dan Hocker; 08-04-2020, 02:24 PM.CD Email: [email protected]
