I passed, not one of my favorite stories although that is a great edition.

I jumped on today's offer. Been looking at this for a while but it was out of my price range in the aftermarket. Nice little grab! Keep em coming. Or don't cuz I need money for the next Doubleday announcement.

I just got the email, so I missed the offer. But I've often wondered at the dimensions of this "warehouse" of CD's. Some awfully strange and interesting things turn up in it. It would seem SOMEONE would have noticed boxes of this 1996 publication long before 2014.

It seemed to me that the people at Grant books found some last year so I checked their site and they still have some of their newly found "several cases" for sale, too. So there's a lot more of these floating around than there was a couple years ago. I also saw this unfortunate news which I hadn't noticed before:

"Stolen DESPERATION Paintings
Two of the original oil paintings completed by Don Maitz for DESPERATION were stolen (copies shown below) from a Federal Express truck in Baltimore on the way to the World Fantasy Convention.
