    Looking forward to Dueling Minds!

The awesome list of authors aside, the artwork from Alan and Erin looks fantastic!

Looking forward to this one as well, been curious about it since seeing it listed on Brian's website.

What publisher was it that this was initially supposed to be published by? I was going to ask if it was Full Moon Press since they closed up after like 2 or 3 titles I think, but the one book of theirs I have was published in 2008, so it might be a company that closed shop earlier than that

It was originally put together for Roger Range's Endeavor Press. I'm really glad it's finally going to see print. The authors turned in wonderfully creative stories, all very different.

BTW, I met Alan M. Clark the artist for this piece two years ago. A real nice and down to earth guy.

The sheets are with Gary Braunbeck, but as soon as they're back, this one will be scheduled with the printer!

                      Hey everyone,

I have had the opportunity to review an advanced copy of Dueling Minds edited by Brian James Freeman. The book is slated to be #10 in the Cemetery Dance Limited Edition Signature Series. I received the book yesterday and finished it last night. After a long day at work, it was a great way to get to get away for some ‘me time’.

I enjoyed the premise. Each of six authors were asked to write a short story that was based on the book's cover art. I was impressed with the scope, and breadth, of each individual authors’ take on the idea and cover painting. My favorite was the opening story, Purple Reign, by Brian Keene, whom I am somewhat partial to.

As an uncorrected proof, I could find no fault with the printed work. The interior artwork provided the visual contributions to each story one would expect in the Signature Series. Kudos to Mr. Freeman, all the authors, (Brian Keene, Gary A. Braunbeck, Tom Piccirilli, Tim Lebbon, Jenny Orosel, and Gerard Houarner)
both artists Alan M. Clark, cover artist (an no we are not related), Erin Wells, interion artist, and staff involved in this great edition to a wonderful series. I can’t wait to add the Limited Edition to my ever expanding collection.

                      Check it out at cemeterydance.com.

Thanks for the great review! Just a heads-up for anyone who was on the fence, there are 13 copies left available for preorder, so we expect them to be gone by the end of the day!

I still say whoever came up with the idea for the signature series is a genious. And I'll assume the guy who married her was smart to realize that!!

I just had the opportunity to read this as well. It was amazing how very different each story was considering they were all based on the same painting. I think it was a very successful experiment on how different creative minds perceive the same scene. My favorite stories were Between the Dark and the Daylight by Tom Piccirilli and Purple Reign by Brian Keene, but all of the stories were very good and each brought a unique perspective of the cover art.

I definitely recommend this book and I'm looking forward to receiving the Limited Edition when it is released.
