It turns out we will be able to get some copies of the Slipcased UK Edition. The CDCC will be notified first when the page goes live and then we'll send a note to our SK customers.

I think I might order the UK trade but I am happy with the regular trade edition. Also the Gift and the Limited edition from CD. Don't want to be too greedy.

I think both covers have their merits. The CD covers are excellent for deluxe special editions whilst the Scribner fit entirely with their trade edition.

And from what I can gather from the various King interviews on the internet regarding Doctor Sleep and from the b&w artworks posted on the CD product page for the book, I am assuming that the lady with the top hat behind the veil of smoke in the Scribner cover is the main villain of the piece, possibly the leader of the True Knot.

Have been listening to Lilja's latest podcast where they were commenting on the cover (not too favorably ) and hoping that those smoke would have relevant connection to the story. I think the smoke do have relevant connection. My guess is those smoke are the essence of 'The Shining' power from the children the True Knot abducted and tortured to death along their sojourn through the highways of America.

The CD b&w artwork with the said woman in the top hat imbuing the smoke from a flask kind of gave it away I think.

I like the Scribner cover but I like the CD covers better (no surprise there), CD's are some of the best I've seen on a book - very creepy but beautiful, though I don't know that I'd want that lettered edition one staring at me all the time.
