Thanks for your thoughts on Revival, John. Combining them from the last two posts makes for a great summary. Post over in Book Reviews if you're so inclined - this is totally legit and might help some folks pick it up.

I just finished my Advance Copy of Revival. This has to be the darkest story King has written. The ending is so nasty I truthfully don't know if I'm going to reread this for a long, long time.
I did enjoy the book as a whole; it was just the ending that really hit me. Most of the characters I liked (King is especially prone to writing sympathetic characters). There are a few references to other King works, just as he is also prone to do.

I've purposely evaded posting anything in the Book Reviews section because I'm afraid of posting some spoilers. The book isn't due to be published for another three months and I don't want to spoil it for anyone.
The first edition of Night Shift that I read was the paperback with the bandaged hand with the eyes (for "I am the Doorway"). That cover was excellent.
That's my second favorite King cover after the U.S. hardback of Pet Semetary!

Going to be contacting my friend in Austin pretty soon and see if I can come for a visit around the 15th! Never thought I would get to meet him but I really hope I can swing this!
I am only about 75 miles from the Nation's capital and I definitely plan on doing whatever it takes to get tickets to the event! I've been searching for the tour dates for Revival and stumbled upon them only yesterday on the publisher's website. This is very exciting!
