My copy arrived today. I was really hoping for #1 but alas I received #797 (I think - the writing is really bad.)

Oh - and I really wished that I knew or thought about getting matching numbers for these PS editions. Oh well.

Requesting a number doesn't mean you'll get it. I requested a number to match my other two but got a different number today. I'm not concerned enough about it to ask for the number I requested since I don't intend to sell them, that and it's not exactly convenient with them being in the UK.

I think you should contact PS Publishing about sending the wrong number, as their inability to keep track of matching numbers needs to be redressed for the good of the whole collecting community. Additionally, if you ever change your mind about selling the books, a matching set will be worth a hell of a lot more than having mis-matching numbers. Basically, receiving the wrong number will cost you significant intrinsic value to a potential investment.

And yeah, PS Publishing should offer a £100 reward for the safe return of your book. Your matching number is just as important as my missing #1 copy.

For those that bought the lettered, any thoughts on the value etc.? I hope it was nice, given that it was double the cost of a lettered CD It.

Abebooks.com shows a lettered PS Carrie being for $400, which seems like it has to be a mistake...right? The listing has a photo of a limitation page stating "...limited to 974 slipcased copies," which suggests that this is one of the lower tier ones, but then this page also has a letter (D) above the "this is copy" designation. Not that I'm buying, just curious; $400 doesn't seem possible.

Yea that doesn't seem right to me either. In fact something seems wrong there. I thought the PS lettered editions where traycased. The pictures on that listing look exactly like the limited edition. In fact, doing a little digging that's not a lettered edition. Looks like a limited that someone wrote a letter in the slot. Here's a link to someone who has a lettered over on the Dark Tower board.

It might be a Lifetime Subscriber copy. I believe those are limited editions but are assigned a letter instead of a number. It is rather confusing.
