Actually though there was already a thread for this but did not find it so here goes.

King has a new story 'On Slide Inn Road' in the October/November 2020 edition of Esquire. Stopped by Barnes and Noble last weekend to grab a copy but they still had the previous issue so I am not sure if it is on news stands yet. I did read the story via Apple News + and did enjoy it. The premise is a family driving to see a sick and dying relative take a backroad, get stuck and meet up with some unsavory characters. Not a classis but a good story with a building suspense in the second half. I gave it 4 stars.
I would classify it as a Thriller.
