    KIN- Suntup

I think we are assuming Suntup will be releasing KIN today.

Please post away your excitement for this.
Looking for the fonting of youth.

I'm pretty excited. Much like yourself, I'm a pretty big KPB fan. I've also been dying for some new (hardcover) stuff from him for quite a while, but after reading Kealan's most recent post under the Digital 50 thread, I totally get it. Still hope to one day track down a hardcopy of Nemesis or the collected Timmy Quinn so that I can complete my Turtle boy collection. I only have the first three books. The last book or the collection is near impossible to find on the aftermarket, especially at a decent price.

This announcement has me pretty excited as well, especially because of the new material as I already own the CD edition of Kin. As for the Timmy Quinn books, you can usually find Nemesis pretty regularly on the aftermarket. Thunderstorm did this book as part of their printed-on-boards Hard Rain line, which isn't my cup of tea. Thunderstorm's edition of Stage Whispers is insanely difficult to find. I feel so incredibly dumb having sold my copy a couple of years back. I knew I shouldn't do it as I was doing it, but I still went through with it. Still kicking myself.

Possible good news is that Paul is doing lettered editions significant works by authors and I have already floated to him that after one of those books should be Stage Whispers. I am keeping my fingers crossed that that will happen. Maybe KPB himself will read this and think it's a great idea...

Any idea what the Thunderstorm STAGE WHISPERS is going for? I wasn't able to find any copies for sale to get an idea of the price from....

It so rarely comes up that I couldn't say for sure. I find Thunderstorm titles notoriously difficult to price as their rarity doesn't necessarily equate to a higher price point on the aftermarket. I've noticed on eBay, they tend to do a lot better on BIN listings than on auctions, where they can go for rather low (sub-$80), price points. There's only one copy of the Thunderstorm edition of KPB's The Novellas on eBay/ABE and it's listed for $200 and has been listed for a long time, with the seller even sending an offer of $160 a while back without any takers. A copy of Nemesis is on ABE for $125, but that seems steep for a Hard Rain book. Frankly, I've rarely seen single volume (non-sets) of Thunderstorm titles break that $200 threshold. Both KPB and Thunderstorm have continued to raise their profile as of late and the Timmy Quinn books have more of a following so it could be an outlier If I were to hazard a guess, I'd say in the neighborhood of $175-200 range. But, like I said, without any current sales data, that's just my best guesstimate.

Thanks for the info. I moved heaven and earth years ago to get a copy of this, which I still haven't cracked open yet, lol. I actually forgot that I had it until I read your post.

I have STAGE WHISPERS as well… I wasn’t aware of its scarcity. Good to know.

Speaking of the Timmy Quinn series, Bad Moon just posted a copy of the lettered edition of THE TURTLE BOY on eBay. To be honest, I don't know if I've ever seen one for sale before. They also have a lettered edition of VESSELS, but that one is a little more common.

I have that one. As a contributor to the project (and other NEP releases), I was gifted a lettered copy. It's pretty cool, to say the least.

Those copies are all very cool. I see these for sale rarely and they are always a little much for me.

I really miss NEP. They published some great books.

Hope you caught my WEIRD FICTION REVIEW profile on NEP a year or so ago…just about everyone involved (save for Don, though I did try) chimed in. An interesting piece, if I say so myself, for fans of the press.
