Congrats to those who got the limited edition. If I would have been able to justify it I would have purchased this one last night as soon as I saw the ToC. Think I will have to order the trade edition though at some point.

Two bits of good news! There are 2 or 3 more stories that the editors bought but weren't on the TOC I was given, so watch for those updates... And the signature sheets are now on their way across the pond to the UK contributors!

Absolutely the former rather than the latter BW --- I shall just go to a dusty corner of my library and weep for a little while, take a pill or two, and be good as new

I was just reading that this book has been in production for more then or about 10 years. Is that true?I read this on alink from Brian Keene's wab site.It would be interesting to know more details if possible.I know sometimes thing do not go as we plan.Did the delay have anything to do with the closing down of the shocklines store and website.I do see things for sale on e-bay from shocklines all the time.If no light can be shed that is ok.Just was wondering.

I can't speak to the reasons but I can tell you I ordered this title just over five years ago and I believe I ordered it within a few months of it being announced.

No real reason other than the editors got busy with other things.

Thanks I thought it might be something like that.I do know that Richard was going through a difficult time for awhile.I am happy that things have gotten better for him.I just wish he would return to writing.Even the occasional short story would be nice.

Same here, he really should be writing more.

By the way, I had started to write an elaborate reply about "why" the project took so long, and this reply involved Cthulhu and Godzilla and Alien Robot Zombies... but then I thought it would be better to keep things short and sweet, hence my very short answer above. ha!

The real, longer answer is... sometimes life gets in the way, but I think readers will be very pleased with the contents. The book might be 10 or so years late -- I sold my story to Matt when I was in college, which feels like it was a lifetime ago! -- but it will get done and the editors will deliver the quality works that readers expect of them and then our designer and production team will deliver a quality book like our collectors expect.
