There aren't a whole lot of movies coming out this year that I'm excited for, but Prometheus is definitely high on my list!

Or is it a teasing trailer for the trailer to the tease trailing the movie?

Am I the only one who hates to watch a trailer before actually having seen the movie?
I always close my eyes and (sometimes) even plug my ears during certain trailers of movies I really want to see....

\I can't help myself with this one. HUGE Alien fan. I saw Aliens when I was 8 or 9 years old and it changed my life. For the better? ha...

I think you're one of the few Siep. The problem is that most trailers give away way too much info. And a trailer for a comedy always seems to have the funniest joke. Of course that makes it easier to weed out the bad comedies. But the studios need to advertise to increase the interest, and a well-made trailer can be a wonderful thing.

True, but after having watched the movie, for exactly the reason stated.

I'm starting to develop the same feelings... I loved to watch trailers, but recently I've seen a few that have given away waaaaaaay too much of the movie. One I recall that is recent is the trailer for Drive, thankfully I watched it after the movie as part of the bonus material. I was like "HEY! Thats the movie summarized in 2 minutes!!"

I admit, I haven't watched a single trailer for this yet, accept one very short one. Don't want to spoil anything. But im tempted to check those out Brian!

The new one finally gives a little sense of the story, but really only the setup. It's giving me more questions than answers, and that's a good thing.

The new issue of Empire magazine that comes out today has Prometheus as the cover story. On the site they have an excerpt of the Ridley Scott interview. I thought what he said was interesting, here's the link for any willing to check it out. I don't really think it spoils anything but proceed with caution.

Thanks! What do you think about the discussion of an R rating vs PG-13 in the comments section on that page?
