Looks like James Patterson has done it again, wrote a book to cut it right off in the middle to make you invest in the next book a year from now. Of course its a tactic used to some degree by many authors to chain books and particular characters but Patterson is one of a kind and maximizes this as much as possible. At least most authors respectfully try to close the story. And not even starting on how he doesn't write almost 95% of the work.

God I really despise this guy, just have to vent. He makes close to the highest gross revenue behind 50 shades porn queen EL James. On one hand, its great that people read and invest in books but its sad to see the same people that sit high on the revenue list. Thank goodness that there are several literary awards that at least try to get some PR to some real treasures in modern literature.

    Sigh ok done my vent

One author I read ended book 2 in a trilogy on a literal cliff hanger. The next book didn't come out for two years.

Got an e-mail from easton press, and now it's got me debating purchasing The Fall of Arthur, but then I found out Harper Collins released a "deluxe" slipcased one, that would be the first edition. I do hate ordering through Easton, it's freaking strange to do it in Canada, and the last time I got a book from them it was the worst packaging a had ever seen. But I just love their books. They just look great on the shelf.

Great but busy weekend between decking the halls and the annual Christmas parade. Lots of fun. Now we need snow. Next weekend just as busy with Christmas plays the kids are in plus school concerts. plus there might be a camping trip before Christmas.

That's pretty ridiculous. The numbered goes for around $200 which I thought was expensive enough. I'm glad Thunderstorm re-issued it, so I was able to get it for a relatively reasonable price.

For anyone who missed it, CD has 33% off sale for today only.

Hi guys, Doing a quick catch up. Haven't been around much lately since I can't sit on here for hours at work like I used to. congrats to Brian on the new baby! Happy Belated Thanksgiving my amercian friends! Looks like it has been slow around here anyway...I will be back to update my collection after Christmas I am sure If i am not back sooner.

I don't know if I mentioned it but Overlook finally got back to me about the Doctor Sleep, Shining, Before the play set and told me they were still waiting on the slipcase. I had to send them an angry email before they did, they didn't respond to my first email or Masons since it was his order.(Part of last years christmas) Dealing with places like that are why I love cemetery dance. A quick question on the forum or an email to Mindy, Brian or Dan and you get the information you are looking for...or the updates page which is wonderful. There was no indication on a release date anywhere on their site, no update email, nothing. Not even a quick response to my email until I got upset.

I have Four Halloweens and Language of Fear. Plus, whatever I get on the CDCC4 too.

Despite that, my collection keeps growing. I will have to get some more pics posted. The local second hand stores have so much to choose from. One has 2 copies of Weaveworld that I passed on this trip. One has a signed Koontz Odd Apocalypse even!

It was just over one year ago today that the world ended and was replaced by something even more bizarre, according to the Mayans. Douglas Adams probablably would have agreed.
