Next up, a mix. Some anthologies from Stephen Jones, my CD signature series, and some of my Lebbon books

And finally for this evening before I bore you all, some Doug Clegg

      clegg.jpg

I've actually bled for my 'art' tonight, as I'd forgotten I'd put a few Prince of Blood fridge magnets on top of the books, and they fell off when I got them down to photo, hitting me on the head, and drawing blood... vampire fridge magnets maybe?

No worry there! All these threads, great or small are great!

Surely, Mr Boone, you're not saying that size doesn't matter

When it comes to books, no. Example: King added 300+ pages to The Stand and ruined a great and well-written story!

But, of course, in other matters, it does!

You say true Mr Boone - as the old adage goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" .. To clarify, I am referring to The Stand

I don't know if that's completely true. King restored some of the original text, but also added (and revised) a number of sections. Plus some more hanky panky, like updating the story.
I don't think he added 300+ pages, though.
I still don't know which edition I prefer.

Ever since I read it, I've always preferred the Uncut (Revised) Stand. To me, it's a richer, deeper story.

I'll sort out the image quality of these photos one day (possibly) Apologies they are so bad. A few more sets

A few random bits and bobs, but including the lovely 15 numbered copy version of Houarner's Shattered Lens, and the very very rare (I'm told) review copy of Only Forward by MMS

More random books from various publishing houses, it goes without saying that CD are amazing, but the books Gary Fry puts out as Gray Friar Press are pretty fantastic as well.

And finally, some slip cased books, mostly from PS Publishing. Yet another fantastic UK small press!
