HARVEST MOON and other Tales from the Beldam Woods

This is an 8/9/09 post "borrowed" from the Brian Keene Board:

Another fun Halloween series from James A Moore. Although each story is a fun read that stands on it's own, I would rather read them as a series in the following order:

    "Harvest Gods" (Earthling collection SLICES)

    BONE HARVEST (Cemetery Dance chapbook)

PATCHWORK (Bloodletting Press novella) - I think this is my fave.

    HARVEST MOON (Cemetery Dance novel)

"Shades of Gray" (Earthling collection SLICES) - hmmm, perhaps this is my fave

Just remember, when you visit Witch's Hollow - don't touch anything, especially the mushrooms.

    Keep Smiling, Jan

I just got Bone Harvest and Harvest Moon in the mail today. That completes the set for me. I've been holding off reading any of the stories until I had them all. Tomorrow I get started!

So, just to let you know, there's a very strong chance I'll have a new story in the Woods coming soon. Like as not it will be a freebie.

What is the name of the story that was on Horror World not too long ago, The Third Boon?
That story was also part of the Bedlam Woods.

I wish I knew that this was a series before I started reading HARVEST MOON. Still enjoying it, though.

I have only read Harvest Moon and it is a fun stand alone story. May search out the rest some day.

I have the rest, somewhere amongst the stacks and stacks of unread books. It does function well as a standalone, although a few spots made me wonder if I had missed another story along the way. Regardless, it is a fun creature-feature.

Well, thanks to this thread, I was able to locate my copies of PATCHWORK and BONE HARVEST...so they'll be read out of order, but my collector's OCD will be satisfied. I've got SLICES around here somewhere, but no luck locating it yet.

I think I have Slices, not sure, it sounds familiar. I am fairly sure I ordered Bone Harvest. I did read Harvest Moon. dannyboy-You have passed your need to locate on to me. Now, I will not be satisfied until I do some searching in my room.
