The case maker will be starting production on the portfolio case after the hollidays, as their schedule is just to full atm trying to get all of their holliday work done. So it should hopefully be out early next year.

The artwork is all printed and the signature page is signed. But I just was NOT happy at all with the first three prototypes for the portfolios. They were flimsy and they were lacking. The fourth try was the charm though -- it is big, it is heavy duty, the materials beautiful, and I think everyone will be really pleased with the quality. Don't tell Rich, but I ended up blowing the per unit budget, but I think it'll be worth it.

The manufacturer has this on their list for after the holidays. Because it took so long to get it just right, and because it's all hand work, they would have had to stop production on something else (like the IT slipcases) to get it done.

We'll send out another email update soon when we have a firmer idea of when they will be completed!

I'm glad you took the time to create the proper storage vessel. Looking forward to seeing it!

Yes, good work on making sure it's a quality piece of work.

I recently read Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs, and he was fanatical about quality. Sometimes over the top, as when he had all the factory machinery repainted to a color he preferred, but it made for a great end-user experience.

Ha, guess I looked at it right when those pictures went up since there wasn't anything in this thread yet and nothing in it until just before my post apparently since it didn't pop up until I hit submit, lol

Yep, it might even be a little bit earlier than that, but even if the actual portfolio arrives early, all of the sets of artwork and the signature sheets have to be assembled, etc, so it will be a slow pack & ship for this one... so let's just say late March for now.
