Congrats, Jeff! I'm sure you'll pick up that book somewhere else down the line.

My wife was an original Turner Classic Movie employee getting into high management level. Whenever an actor/actress came in for an interview the staff would get 8x10 autograph head shots. Ended up with a few including Charlton Heston, James Garner, Patricia Neal and a few others. Not at home right now so I cannot recall the others.

Yeah, I totally understand why they charge money. And it's cool. My edition of HELLBOUND HEART is worth a lot more than the $375 I've spent acquiring it and getting it signed.
As for the Hellraiser burger, it was a cool idea and a wonderful presentation, but it tasted like garbage. The drink I had with it (named Dead by Dawn!) was so much tastier.

I am currently preparing to move house, and so here's what my collection looks like at the moment:

But here's what I've picked up since The Great Boxing:

I've been on a Scalzi kick. The bubble wrap is concealing a third printing of The Shining.
I like Scalzi myself!
It's been a bit since I placed an order from Cemetery Dance. I just keep telling myself - "I don't need another fancy S/L book" and so I've laid off buying any more-Until Monday evening. I finally gave in and got A Game in the Sun by John Coyne w. the Free GIFT With Qualifying Purchase! offer. I have purchased a few vintage paperbacks, not many though.

Books are weapons in the war of ideas.
This came in the mail today:
I wish CD would sell this series from PS...it'd be so much more convenient.
Thanks, I need to get some recent purchases posted. All but the newest Scalzi book is in Audible format so nothing to post there. Started with Scalzi on Audio and am working through his whole collection that way. It helps that they keep offering his books as part of different sales and promotions.
That reminds me, I "promised" to make a thread of my own . . .
So here are some recent acquisitions instead.
First up - my second CD lettered edition - and one - if I'm totally honest - I wasn't expecting to acquire. You see, I throw up random bids on eBay sometimes because every now and then you can score a pretty good deal on something. This is the first of two "oh what the hell" items I won:
CD Lettered Smoke & Mirrors:

It's a beautiful book - and one I'm tempted to not keep because screenplays don't do anything for me - BUT look at those contributors! Damn!
My second WTH bid on eBay scored me this really nice original Mouse Guard drawing/sketch (per David Petersen on Twitter, he says this definitely looks like something he did):

I paid $18.50 for that so I feel I came out ahead.
And not as exciting as the above, but here are two books that will actually get read that arrived today - the new Powers collection from Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, and the new short story collection from N.K. Jemisin:

Spectacular stuff. I love that lettered S&M. What a signature page!
