I recall Davis Grubb’s NIGHT OF THE HUNTER was announced a while back...that’s another one I’m looking forward to.

Yep, Years ago. I think there might be some copyright issue.

Wow, was it that long ago? That’s probably not a good sign. :-(

Yeah, I had to ask when he'd be taking preorders for that Falling Angel set. He told me around October.

And did you see that the price of Hill House is $100 more than the original forecast?

I was on the fence about that one and the sticker price pushed me off, especially since I'm getting Dune for sure, The new Elric books 4-6, William Hjortsberg's two volume set and some other stuff, not to mention items I've got on order with Camelot and some other publisher's/Presses...Plus I'm trying to retire in a couple of years. Jerad's Something Wicked this Way Comes might be my big sticker Swan Song, LOL!!!

It was a heck of a list that was sent out this morning! I didn't notice the price jump until Jeff posted about it. I'm committed at this point, I think. Definitely in for the Falling Angel set. Glad this was announced as I'd have a hard time passing on the Falling Angel deluxe edition on ebay right now. (I want it, but $750 is a lot of dough AND I'll need the sequel, dang it!)

Something Wicked This Way Comes is on my "Must Buy" list if I can pull it off. I was planning on picking up Dune, too.

Here's a little info I found on the web for a few titles:
Bird Parade by Patrick Loehr http://patrickloehr.com/books
The Night Doctor by Steve Rasnic Tem http://stevetem.com/the-night-doctor-and-others/

I LOVE that we are getting more from Steve Rasnic Tem. I've always loved his work, but feel like he's very underrated.

I’m definitely and unfortunately priced out of quite a few Centipede books I’d like to have, but I suppose that just makes the ones that I select to buy that much more special...or so I tell myself.

No, I think you’re right on the money. Those specially selected ones stand out because they are the ones you “must absolutely have” versus everything you’d like to own. They’re the cream that rises to the top, and since they are not as common in your collection they stand out even more.
