If you haven't seen it yet, this is the author photo for Cardinal Black. The makeup and photo are by Amanda Chapman. Video of the makeup session was taken, and McCammon interviewed Chapman about her work. The video is on YouTube:

Also, here are photos from the book launch at Alabama Booksmith on Saturday.

Got my trade edition in the mail yesterday. This book really came out great. Pictures do not do this book justice.

Dan, do you guys have any spare dust jackets? My copy arrived today, and the dust jacket was in pretty rough shape from being crammed into the bubble wrap.

This doesn't really have anything to do with Cardinal Black, but this seemed like a good place to post it. Rick teamed up with filmmaker Chuck Hartsell to make this fun music video, "My Creations."

Very cool. Seems like a very down to earth guy. Which seems to be quite typical when it comes to horror writers. Great video.

The slipcases for the Limited Edition of CARDINAL BLACK are on the way to the warehouse. Here's a quick photo of how things turned out:

FYI The limited editions started shipping today. Shipping shouldn't take too terribly long. Probably early next week depending what days my helpers are in next week.

I really hope the collectors like this edition. As a publisher, it's VERY difficult to pick up a series in progress and keep everyone happy, but we worked really hard to make this one special.

If the trade edition of CARDINAL BLACK is any indication, I'd say collectors will be very happy. It stands perfectly well with the previous Sub Press volumes in the series. From the photo I've seen the slipcase for the limited looks wonderful. I can't wait for my limited edition to arrive! I am so happy to hear that they're shipping. Great news!

Agreed! This is fantastic news. I cannot wait to get my limited and begin reading this as I am a huge fan of this series. On a side note- One day, I would love to hear the details as to how/why this limited edition came to be with CD/SST instead of remaining with SubPress. I know I purchased the SubPress limited editions as they were released and they always seemed to sell out pretty quickly; so, I can't imagine it would have been due to sales, but then, what do I know when it comes to a thing like that? I'm just glad that the series was picked up by a company like CD which does such a great job with their limited editions!
