    The Stand - 1st edition

I noticed on skcollector.com this regarding The Stand (1st ed):

A first edition of 70,000 copies. Issued with a dustjacket and price of $12.95. On the copyright page you will see the words First Edition, and on the inner margin of page 823 you'll find code T39. This edition is missing around a quarter of the original text...

What does the T39 signify? I have what I thought was a 1st edition, as it meets all the criteria as such but..... on 823, my edition says T45.

I was curious what the difference(s) might be.

For The Stand, the T39 code signifies First edition, First printing, and the T45 code means First edition, Second printing.

The letter 'T' stands for 1978, and 39 for September, 45 for November.

Interesting. I thought the T45 signified a first book club edition.
