Stephen King novels that are underrated!

Stephen King is one of the most known authors there is, right? But he has soooo many novels that many dont know of or they dont get enough credit...

for example, Bag of Bones... awesome read! And it really dont get as much shout as it should!

Anyone got a SK novel that isnt mainstream thats a favorite for them?

    Interesting list.

My top five underrated King novels/novellas would be:

    Lisey's Story
    From a Buick 8
    The Colorado Kid
    Gerald's Game
The Breathing Method (novella in Different Seasons--which certainly isn't an underrated work)
    "I'm a vegan. "

---Kirby Bliss Blanton , The Green Inferno (2013)

I'll never understand why From a Buick 8 isn't more popular.

For me From a Buick 8 is a decent story but not a top book so it does not make my underrated list. Insomnia would probably not make to many lists but it makes mine.

I can't really put together a list, however.... I've seen lots of love or hate for Insomnia. Does that make it under rated???? I really enjoyed it.

I would agree Insomnia appears to fall into two groups, love it or hate it. I consider it my second favorite King novel and I see it one few top lists for King stories. That is why I consider it underrated.

'Salem's Lot is far and away my favorite King book, but it's in no way underrated .

Amazon UK has an October release date, though I have no idea how accurate that may be (probably not very as I can't find any other source that says more than '2015').

Also a Gollancz blog post from last year seems to indicate it will the be the last in the series, though I seem to recall Cameron himself saying there would be five (or more) books; it could be I'm parsing the info in the blog wrong and it's just the conclusion to events in The Fell Sword rather than the conclusion to the series.

I'll keep an eye out thanks. I have to say, the 2nd book, though enjoyable, felt very much like a bridge book. I've been reading his other series, The Ill Made Knight. Have you started that one?

Many people seem to dislike The Talisman and Black House, but I just reread both of them over the past few days and had really forgotten how much I liked them. I hope they do write the third book this year.
