This is a killer novella that showcases exactly what Mr. Lansdale does best, which is portray a lively, energetic sense of pacing through a serious yet humor injected story that cannot be paused, slowed down or savored - simply devoured. His pacing is just too solid, and you can't stop until you're done.

Well done Mr. Lansdale and Dark Regions!

I really liked it a lot as well! It's a little bit of a riff off of Cold in July, but more directly related to the Hap and Leonard books (it has a couple of characters from Hap & Leonard's world as well as a setting).
