Am I the only one who is completely utterly excited about The Ruins? I ordered the lettered edition as soon as I received the CDCC email. I don't know how well these books are selling as there is little discussion about either Smith book on the forum, but I want everyone at CD to know that you have absolutely made my year with both of these announcements.

Quick question: will the lettered edition of A Simple Plan have the same features of The Ruins (gilded page edges, raised spine hubs, etc)?

I ordered A Simple Plan as soon as it was announced. The Ruins however is one I will skip. For me as good as A Simple Plan was, the Ruins was bad. A completely predictable story with characters I cared nothing about. I am sure the CD editions will be fantastic but not for me.

Well I ordered both. Loved The Ruins. Now I don't see a discussion thread for it. My question is are we going to be able to get matching numbers? August is going to be non stop with book shipments. Looking forward to both releases.

Yep, I just haven't updated the product page yet, most likely. There are bunch of books this year that are getting that treatment, but we're not formally announcing it until they're here and we can show off some photos. The first copies we've seen look AMAZING, though.

Yeah, I think Dan didn't start a discussion thread yet, but he will. And you just need to email Mindy about matching numbers because they're shipping at the same time. We'll send out an email to those who ordered both sometime soon about that, but feel free to email her now!

Sock Monkey you are not alone

I read both of these for the first time pretty recently and loved 'em both for different reasons. Great idea by Cemetery to release them and I can't wait to receive mine!

Thanks for the update, Brian. I can't wait to see these books. I'm sure they will be awesome as is standard for all CD productions!

That's odd, I don't remember importing the notices. Someone else must have.
