I have the limited edition of The Passage that they did so I went for it. I'm turning into a borderline completist with this series. I'll have at least 3 states of each book.

Plus I get 10% percent off by being a member of their book club. And I hope they do a slipcase for it like they did the first.

It's only 30? They still have The Passage on the site at 250, which sounds more likely for a limited edition.bccc

I think the passage cost around 30 when it first came out. The 250 is what they cost now.

Wow, thats a nice price increase. Makes me want to pick this one up... Not that I would sell it, but its always nice to know that a part of your collection has gone up in value!

First time post, long time lurker...

I thought it was limited to 250 but now it says 500. Did I imagine that? Anyhoo I ordered a copy, will be nice next to my CD edition.

You didn't imagine it, I was confused when I went to look at it recently and it said 500 since I remember it saying 250 when this thread was created

That's kinda disappointing but I'm still getting one and will have numbers matched with my copy of the passage. And it definitely was 250 originally.

Thought so, knew I wasn't crazy (not for thinking that at least, lol). Seems a bit odd that it would change like that.

It sold out real fast so they probably figure they'll make more money with the 500 printings vs 250. Hopefully it'll stay at 500 and remain an actual limited edition

Looks like it's back up for sale... the edition is holding at 500 for now. Seems kind of shifty for them to do this.

Well I ordered one today so I guess the extra 250 are still available. I wished they were slipcased is my only complaint.

I don't have the money available for this but would probably get it if I did. Wonder what the shipping to the US is though.

If I did buy this I doubt I'd buy any other books from them though (and maybe not even this one) as I wouldn't be able to trust them in their limit counts considering they doubled the print run once so far and now it's suddenly not sold out, which makes me wonder if 500 is really going to be the final count since I'd expect a run that low to be long sold out by now.

I'm glad CD doesn't pull that kind of stunt. They do more than one printing of some titles, but that's for the trade editions, not S/L editions.
