    Promoting Brian's Work

Yea I thought I'd promote Brian's work a little bit. He just sent this link around the office.

    http://www.shroudmagazine.com/shroud...rin112011.html

Looks like his story from the CD 50 HC handwritten story special offer, is being featured in the shroud magazine. Congrats Brian!

Congratulations Brian! I was very happy to see Brian's The Painted Darkness on the recommended shelf at my local library.

Nice, think I will have to purchase this one as I've become a big a big fan of his since reading both The Painted Darkness and Black Fire. Have read close to 30 books since December and those two of my favorites so far. Brian Keene also has something in that issue and I have become a big fan of his as well ever since getting The Girl on the Glider in a grab bag.

Any chance of Brian releasing all his short stories in a HC format? If he does I will definitely purchase a copy or two (unless I don't have the money of course). If eBook will be my only option I guess I'll have to go that route, lol, but I highly prefer having an actual book in my hands, preferably HC over PB. I love technology, but that love hasn't translated to wanting to use technology to read my books.

I did originally start reading The Painted Darkness on my computer from the free eBook promotions, but didn't make it all the far before I had to go do something else and never made it back to reading in that format. It was enough for me to know I wanted the physical book though

I've only read Brian's short stories ("Seven Stories" on Amazon) and Painted Darkness... I need to get his other novels and novellas in my collection so I can enjoy them too!

Thanks for the kind words, gang. I'd love to do a hardcover collection eventually. I do have some individual short stories available as eBooks, plus the mini-collection Seven Stories, for anyone who might be interested:

I will probably end up getting seven stories, but I still hope for hardcover with more of the stories, perhaps even some new ones

On a side note, does anyone know if Shroud is sold in any stores? I don't like that they are going to charge so much shipping for a magazine. $4.90 to ship me a single magazine?

4.90 sounds a little high, but I guess that would depend on the shipping method.

Shroud is available in some stores. I know that Powell's in Portland Oregon stocks it.

I think Shroud is more like an oversized thick-covered paperback.

I think I'll just end up waiting until I see it pop up on Amazon since I get free shipping there for a lot of things by having a membership to Amazon Prime (also free since I am a college student), but I do want to pick this one up

I am getting old, I know I have looked at Shroud at Powell's but for the life of me I can't picture it's size.
