And book rehab... wouldn't be surprised if they actually had those, like somewhere in California.

What kind of mice you guys got over there? The ones around here don't tend to eat paper. Its moths we gotta think about.

It's pretty much common that mice and other rodents tend to gnaw into paper, regardless of their location.

Not worried about mice...yet. I'm still concerned about my dogs chewing thing up!

I keep them away from my EPs and s/ls. I just lost the one book to them, but that was enough!

By the time we got our shelves, our dog had out grown her chewing phase. And, until the shelves came in, I had the books in 4 large tubs.

Hope that they did not get anything too valuable! I seem to recall you saying that they got something. I think this was in your collection thread.

Yeah, an 1910 first print of African Game Trails by Theodore Roosevelt; a copy of it sold on ABE for $8500. Not that I was planning on selling mine, but...

Yup, I did. That was me trying to lighten the tension and cheer you up by making a (an attempt at) joke.

I;m guessing the effects were a bit less then desired?

I do too, but this list (going by the price that Squire gave) has books that are way over my limit, even the limit that I break/push/ignore/etc. So even if the temptation is there, it is not something that I can satisfy. Kidneys don't even sell for that much!

At the very least, it will make us feel better about the pittance we spend on books!
