well, "blog" just comes from web log, right? a website entry, so take from that what you will - the "blogs" i follow seem to have a schedule (like every day of the week is something different, or once a week a column goes up) vs. a website which just posts up when there is news - splitting hairs here, probably, yeah?

My website has the ability to be a lot more complex than a blog site. They are also accessed through a different site-I don't really understand all of the differences, but I had a friend who is a web designer do mine, and she said they are different. I'm about as lost as you are.

Not wanting to sound too dinosaur age, what is the difference between a website and a blogsite and why do people blog--is it an on-line diary or like this forum where you get addicted and have to check it every free moment of your life. Please, someone, explain this blog creature to me.

Google's blogger is easy and decent, and if you buy your own domain name you can get rid of the blogger suffix. Tumblr is a popular one among a few of my friends too.

Hosting shouldn't really be a big problem until you're getting to the high traffic end of things. The key is, that if you don't know how to install the word press stuff yourself to find a hosting company that will work with you to help you get it set up. I'm a diy guy so I don't really know about that end, but I do know go daddy has some of the cheapest hosting around. For my personal stuff I use hostmonster and have had a very good experience with them.

Yeah, Word will do it. As Ken states, just Save As, and locate Other Formats. Within there will be RTF. All the best.
