I'm a refugee from the HDI forums as well, even though I mostly lurked. That's kind of like my thing--lurking. I was a big-time lurker in the Shocklines days as well. I'd like to see another board really get going again. Message boards create a much better sense of community than other newer forms of social media.

That or just not be too worried about the lag time because of me being slow. It's usually only an issue on the weekends and I typically check once or twice a day. That said new registration for the most part has been pretty stagnant lately. Probably doesn't help that new registration was broken for like 3 months before I realized it and another month till I could figure out how to fix it.

Just to share, all new members have to have their first couple of posts manually approved by me before they go live. I'm not always quick about getting to them though. This is mostly to weed out the spam bots that get through the registration process.
