Agreed -- great to see so many migrating here, especially given the unannounced abruptness of the HD-I closure...gives instantly severed relationships a chance to reconnect.

I totally agree with those sentiments, Glen. Good to see another HDI castaway here!

Great to see so many familiar names from HD-I here. As usual I'll lurk more than post but it's good to know there is somewhere to keep in touch with everyone.

I'm a refugee from the HDI forums as well, even though I mostly lurked. That's kind of like my thing--lurking. I was a big-time lurker in the Shocklines days as well. I'd like to see another board really get going again. Message boards create a much better sense of community than other newer forms of social media.

Then a big thanks to you, Dan, for all your time and effort in establishing and maintaining the CD forum...it's appreciated greatly by all of us here.

Yep, I just wanted to reiterate that these forums are 100% Dan's idea and he's the one who keeps them running and figures out why things break.

That or just not be too worried about the lag time because of me being slow. It's usually only an issue on the weekends and I typically check once or twice a day. That said new registration for the most part has been pretty stagnant lately. Probably doesn't help that new registration was broken for like 3 months before I realized it and another month till I could figure out how to fix it.Originally posted by dannyboy121070 View PostSo, if you're a legit human, post often!

So, if you're a legit human, post often!Originally posted by Dan Hocker View PostJust to share, all new members have to have their first couple of posts manually approved by me before they go live. I'm not always quick about getting to them though. This is mostly to weed out the spam bots that get through the registration process.
