Vacation is a zombie book on my TBR, so I'll give the lugs another try...Weak & Wounded will have to wait for a few days. I've learned to digest BJF's stuff in my basement at 3am, by the light of my computer. Shocklines is another unexpected title that I'm excited about.

Better hurry, the end of the world in nigh!

First up, though, is "Mother Nature" by KPB in CD Mag!

I too am not one for zombies really. Never read a zombie book yet though either.

Well I was going to recommend Brian Keene' s The Rising and City of the Dead. Both of those books are great but the zombies are not the main focus. The people are. It is however the best zombie series out there.

I hardly find them scary in any format, especially now when they have become such a pop phenomenon. Still love'em for entertainment though.

Have you read The Reapers are the Angels by Alden Bell? I thought that one was good.

I haven't had too much luck with zombie novels, I just haven't found any I particulary like--but I keep trying. So maybe this one will change my mind about the zombie sub-genre (another Goodreads win):

    Vegan Zombie (411x640).jpgVegan Zombie2 (410x640).jpg

Maybe after making fun of the sub-genre, I'll appreciate it more.

Let me know what you think of it (you'll probably get to it before me).

Ever since I finally read Winter's Tale, I have been obsessed with tales of magical realism of New York at the turn of a century (that's when they all seem to take place). Two mythological creatures appear as immigrants in New york at the turn of the 20th century. I couldn't resist it.
Nice I have one coming in the mail soon.

Possibly, it's also possible that they where just leftover from us pulling the sale early, or people just canceling their orders over the years since some of these titles are pretty old.
